Senior/Lead Specialist in Operational Risk Management

Job Description:

• Participates in the development of the bank’s risk strategy and risk policies;

• Provides risk assessments for new credit products and business processes;

• Improves methodologies and models for measuring operational risks and ensures appropriate reporting;

• Participates in setting limits for operational, market, and liquidity risks and monitors compliance with these limits;

• Analyzes scenarios, develops and applies stress-testing models, and evaluates the results;

• Participates in the preparation of the Risk Appetite Statement and monitors that indicators remain within the target levels;

• Develops, analyzes, and improves the reporting system for operational risk management;

• Ensures timely and efficient resolution of incidents and requests, and prepares relevant incident reports;

• Manages market and liquidity risks that may lead to operational risks.

Candidate Requirements:

• Higher education in finance or economics;

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the banking sector in the field of risk management;

• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel;

• Fluency in Azerbaijani, intermediate level of English;

• Excellent knowledge of Central Bank regulatory documents;

• Attention to detail, promptness, and strong analytical thinking skills;

• Preference will be given to candidates who have passed any level of FRM, PRM, or hold other risk-related certifications (e.g., CERM);

• Knowledge of econometrics and statistical analysis is desirable.

Working Conditions:

• Working hours: 09:00 to 18:00;

• Days off: Saturday and Sunday.
